Mission:

Communications links with the Heroic-DSMV mining freighter in
orbit around OCP_42 (Orion 42) have been lost
2. You and your team will go there and attempt to rescue the crew
and staff and re-establish communications
3. The last status update from the Heroic-DSMV reported that the
docking systems were all inoperable
4. We believe that the only ingress to the ships interior is through
1m venting ports on each level of the ship
5. You will enter the Heroic-DSMV piloting an MSRAV (Miniaturized
Search/Rescue/Attack Vehicle) which is roughly the size of a basketball.
6. The OMSUs (Organic Material Sustainment Unit) on board each
MSRAV can hold the digitized life forces of all crew members of
the Heroic-DSMV and you.
7. The Heroic-DSMV sentry droids and systems are believed to be
active. It is not known if they have been re-programmed to recognize
an MSRAV as a friendly foreign object. If not, you are subject
to attack until the systems are disabled.
8. If access to the central computer on the Heroic-DSMV is not
available, the sentry systems can be disabled locally, but only
1 level at a time
9. The security level of the MSRAVs liaison systems with the Heroic-DSMV
is level 1. Any sentry systems requiring higher levels to be disabled
will require that you discover the security codes on site
10. If you are lucky enough to locate and acquire the ships security
officer early on, he/she can provide the codes for higher security
levels
11. The MSRAV has a "shield" and "health"
level. Once the ship reaches a pre-defined level of shield integrity
or loss of hull integrity (health) the OMSUs will automatically
reconstitute all life forms on the spot. If this is the case,
the ship occupants and crew will materialize wherever the MSRAV
lost integrity. This being the case, it is likely that any aggressor
that may have caused the loss of integrity would still be in the
vicinity. It is expected that the life forms would be endangered
in such a case.
12. Personal weapons aboard the MSRAV are limited to non-projectile
energy types and are charged by the MSRAV on when the Shield or
hull integrity drops to the point that the OMSUs would reconstitute
life forms in preparation of the MSRAV destruction. The significance
of this to the crew is that the NPET weapons will have only as
much energy as was left from the MSRAV stores before destruction.
It is not known what if any weapons may be found on the Heroic-DSMV
13. Once all crew of the Heroic-DSMV have been accounted for and
communications have been re-established, the mission will be complete.
